年過三十，對人生失去希望的白岩（小田切讓 飾）和妻子離婚後，回到故鄉函館，靠失業給付過活，漫無目的地在職業訓練中心學習當木匠，或是和一群沒有幹勁地朋友們打壘球，結識了未來想要經營酒店的代島（松田翔太 飾）。然而，年輕卻又瘋狂的酒店小姐-聰（蒼井優 飾），突如其來地闖進他原本平淡的生活。不顧世人眼光的率真個性，喜歡模仿鳥叫、大跳鴕鳥求偶時的舞蹈，這樣的她深深地吸引了白岩。兩個不完美的男女，能在對方身上找到遺失的幸福嗎？

Yoshio Shiraiwa (Joe Odagiri) is dumped by his wife and goes back to his hometown of Hakodate. He then enrolls at a vocational school, while receiving unemployment payments. At the vocational school, he meets Kazuhisa Daishima (Shota Matsuda). One day, Kazuhisa Daishima takes him to a cabaret. There, Yoshio Shiraiwa meets a hostess, Satoshi Tamura (Yu Aoi). She possesses something different from other people. Satoshi Tamura and Yoshio Shiraiwa become close.
