繪本作家千紗子（杏 飾），為了照顧罹患失智症，但已與自己多年不相往來的父親孝藏（奧田瑛二 飾），心不甘情不願地回到鄉下生活。眼前的父親已與陌生人無異，和這樣的他一起生活，讓千紗子感到不知所措。某天，千紗子救了一位因故失憶的男童（中須翔真 飾），並在他身上發現遭人虐待的痕跡。千紗子為了保護男童，騙男童自己是他的親生母親。三人就此展開一段笑淚交織的新生活。然而，這樣幸福的日子並沒有持續太久……。

Chisako Satoya, a writer, and her father, Kozo, had a long-standing feud and had been living apart for a long time. However now that Kozo, who lives alone, has dementia, so she returns to her hometown to begin taking care of him. One day, she rescues a boy who has lost his memory in an accident and has signs of abuse on his body. To protect him, she pretends about being his mother and starts living with him. She still has conflicts with her father and although she conceals the reality, they gradually begin to spend precious time together. However, their happy life won't last long. One lie reveals the secrets of the others.
