芽衣子（宮崎葵 飾）與種田（高良健吾 飾）在大學因輕音社而相識，畢業後便展開了同居生活。芽衣子雖然順利成為上班族，卻對千篇一律的工作感到厭倦，對人生更是充滿迷惘。而懷抱音樂夢的種田則維持著一邊在雜誌社打工，一邊與好友共組名為「ROTTI」的樂團。眼看鼓手不得不繼承家業，平日顧著那間小小的藥房，貝斯手則是不想畢業，成了名副其實的六年級生，雖然整個樂團前途渺茫卻始終維持著每週團練。一場突如其來的變故，使得芽衣子決定踏上一條艱辛的道路。

A coming-of-age love story based on the comic series of the same title by Asano Inio. Music is used as the backdrop for this subtle portrayal of youth, angst, and uncertainty about the future. Music video director Miki Takahiro makes his feature film debut. During her second year of work, Meiko (Miyazaki Aoi) decides one day to turn in her resignation to support her boyfriend Taneda's (Kora Kengo) music career. He writes a new song called "solanin" but trying to sell it to a record company is not easy.
